Hi, I am new (noob) to this site and this is my first post. I want to connect the components I purchased to an amp, but still want to be able to control the bass, balance, etc through my head unit. Is it possible?

If not, Is there a way that i can connect the components to the amp and install a switch where it only turns off the amp and not the speakers? I am pretty sure this is impossible, but I want to make sure.
