Possible to blow only 1 coil?

So i got a dvc kicker installed a few days ago but it sounds like its not hitting near as hard as it was at first. perhaps i should have broke it in a bit easier? or is it possible to blow only 1 of the coils? if so can i check its continuity or would that even help? if one coil is shot can i fix that cheaply?

it's possible to fry one coil, if one is shot you have to chance both. Unfortunately Kicker doesn't do recone. You can only see if you can go with a warrantee or buy some new subs if that indeed did happen

check the resistance, if it says 0 then you're fucked

P.S. Yes learn to know what you're doing next time. If you're blowing subs more than once, you're fucking something up.

im pretty sure im pumpin the gain up to high and then turning up the volume, ill pull the sub out tommorrow and check, for all i know i could just be thinking it was better, i have adjusted a few things so i might just need to tune it more, ill check its resistance tommorrow if i can wake myself up before i gotta get ready for work
