I Listened to a guy from my car group when purchasing my current set up and I don't know if it really fits my likings anymore.
I listen to alot of music with fast hitting bass (bullets, lost prophets, Sleeping with Sirens etc.)
my system sounds great with the windows closed(car is sound deadened) but if i'm driving with the windows down or the highway it just doesn't get as loud as i'd like it to. I fear that if I turn the volume up to get what i'd like in those driving situations, i might blow the sub.
what could I change about my system that I currently have that wouldn't cost too much.
I drive a scion tC atm
HU: JVC KD-S100 (was a cheap unit with 6 p/o to hold me over)
front and rears: Alpine SPS-600c (no tweeters hooked up in the rear)
Amp: Alpine PDX-5 (4channel x 75w 4ohm; 1channel 300x 2ohm)
Sub: JL 10W3v3 4ohm
I'm running off the stock battery and have not done the big 3 yet.
what sort of things should I look for in a new HU to upgrade mine.
and on another note... I really have no idea how to mount my amp/sub its all kind of floating around in the back hatch. I'll get a picture as soon as my phone decides to send the email... blah
