I'm pretty sure I did this correctly but I want to make sure before I start my build tomorrow. The port on the left is done correctly. But is the right hand port's internal volume the same, or have I messed it up? Let me know if additional measurements are necessary.

The point of those 45* angle turns is to prevent violent air. So it's a smooth transition. Having something that goes =o= isn't conducive for proper flow.

Basically.

Port = Opening Diameter AT ALL TIMES (is what we aim to achieve). People leave it with the 90* angle because it's easier... but for proper air flow, so you don't create a sort of vaccuum effect, you want to try to keep the port diameter equal at ANY given cross-section

Not to mention, the dimensions you're measuring at are impossible to do with out a CNC machine.

If you want, PM me with a link to the sketchup file and I can fix it for you and add notes, if you'd like.

EDIT:: Also, interesting design.

Putting amps under it? Seems like a good place to but some Batcaps //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif

Why are the different from each other? Port VOLUME doesnt matter, you want to focus on the AREA. Either way Id measure to 16ths of an inch not 64ths.

Not area. This is kind of mis-informed info. It's correct, but there's a word you're missing that's very important. CROSS-SECTIONAL (well, compound word) area is important.

The 39/64th's is only there to show what I did. I won't actually be measuring and cutting that area. Also, they won't be different. I'm basically just "showing my work."

As for the enclosure, the purpose of putting the ports there is to maximize my space. The wheel wells will actually be under the ports, and they will extend from windowline to windowline. It's approximately 4.5 cu.ft. tuned at 33hz for a pair of Pioneer TS-W2000SPL's.

IDSkot, send me your e-mail. I'll send you the file. Thanks a lot!
