Alright a friend of mine is giving me $1200 cash tonite and his 2dr blazer. well we decided on the 15" MTX 9500 and i was wondering about the port(s) im going with. I have 3.5 inch pvc. tubes in my garage but i want to know if maybe a vent would work better? is there any diff.? I really have no clue about going from the round port to the square wood (port or vent)?? I have only used the pvc piping. Just curious what would be better if one is better.

Thanks.

Alex

round port or slot port is realy a flexibility of use than anything "IMO" if youre going to use the round port "PVC" then with a router flange the port end with a 1/2" round over bit. and it will help to avoid port noise if any. if you design the enclosure right port noise should not be a problem. some people add a 1" baffle lip at the other end of the port and using the router again and a 1/2" round over bit , flange the port end for even better flow of air in and out the port.
