Ports or no ports???

Hi, i have a 1994 ford f150 extended cab I was woundering if i should port my box. It has 2 12" Alpine type S's in it and they sit in the back seat. I like the but i think it could b better. What should i do???

NORCALRACER, what do you mean when u say 130hz? and how many ports should I put in??? im not sure how big of a box it is i didnt make it...I thought about 4 total, there it a piece of wood in between to seperate the two chambers.

he was just joking about that. I do hope you realize that porting a box is more than just putting a hole in it, it takes alot of calculations and measurements and whatnot.

no i didnt kno this thx a lot....where would i find these measurements and i got another ? should i break in my subs when i get them i get them tomarrow and I heard that you have to break them in for a few hours by turning up the volume little by little a few times an hour. is this true???

to tell u the truth, i have no idea how to do the calculations. what u need to do is get someone from either ur area or on this board (moe lester) to design u a ported box to best fit ur needs.

and i dont believe in breaking in subs, but do it if u feel like it, it couldnt hurt.
