Porting like this?

Ok, so first of all, the drawing is to kind of to show where the port would be on this box. First, I am wondering if it is ok to run a port like this, from the back, immediately to the right?

Second, if doing a port like this, would you measure port length beginning at the blue line, or at the red line?



 
If you have to, do it like this:

Where green is the effective port length, blue is your port width, red is the edge of the effective enclosure volume, and the black line is a 45* piece of wood you should insert to reduce turbulence.

You should really just fire the port to the left side.

 
Thanks for the info man. I cant port on the side, there is no room.

I have come to 4 different port/sub positions:

#4:



The port (would) be firing towards the back, just so you can tell relative position.

Which would you recommend? I would prefer NOT to go with #1 if possible, but I might be able to work with it if it is a good position.
