Ported tube enclosure for 8" subs?

A local guy on offer up has a pair of these tubes for $20. He claims they are tuned to 32hz, but I haven't verified that. They look very much like the Nippon Tubo8. I doubt they are great quality, but I was thinking I would just throw some Dayton DCS205-4 in them, I don't known that they would do too much damage. I know I should do a proper box, but are these complete **** to throw a couple subs in and rock?

If 20$ is too much for you to gamble to just try them out you're probably in the wrong hobby.

Well I was more concerned with the hour it would take me to pick them up, and then the time to install it to ding out it ***** than the $20, but your point is well taken.
