Ported or Regular box?

Should I get a ported or regular sub box. It will be in the trunk of a honda accord with 2-12's.

It all depends on what kind of sound you want from your subs and if space in your boot is something of importance. Tight, punchy or loud and boomy bass?

I don't need alot of bass. I would prefer for the sound to be nice and crisp. Mainly for surround sound of watching movies and some alternative and light rock music.

I have a RF 550x amp that is 275 x2 when bridged, and 2-12 inch infinity perfect 12.1

this may not be the best amp and subs, but I got them dirt cheap so I couldn't pass it up.

So would a bandpass, regular, or ported box be best? and should the subs have a divider in the middle so they each have their own compartment or can the box be just 1 open compartment?

i would go with the regular sealed enclosure...you will be surprised how tight and crisp the bass is...much better for sound quality....that is just my opinion though...someone is bound to disagree with me...

The amp is fine to push 2 perfects. They work great in sealed but i never heard them ported. I would go with bandpass. Its better if have their own compartment for sealed.

You would put Perfects in a bandpass box..???

Anyway, if you dont want a lot of bass, go with a sealed box. And yes, you will need a divider in the middle of the box as it will allow the subs to have their own airspace and will also help with bracing.
