I have 4 15's ascendat audio chaos. With a RD D9 for the power. My last thing I need to figure out is should I run ported or 4th order bandpass. Looking something for daily loud that will play good on music and drop low that 28-38hz area i want to play the best and even drop down to 25hz and play up to 40hz.

Specs for the box external looking around 48" wide 20" high and 55-57" long.

The cutout for the cab looking at 25" wide at most and 15-18" high. Would like to stay around 18-20" wide

Either way for daily loud on music dont care bout the meter which way is the best

pros and cons?

Thanks

With a cut that small you HAVE to do a 4th order. I don't see how else you could have 4-15s firing into a 20'' wide hole?

I can do 25" wide but like I said the less the best far as teh cutout. I just dont want a full cab cutout. I figure 25" wide and 15-18" high should give me enough to work with idk we will see.

I don't see how you could do it any other way than a 4th order. My cut is 31'' wide and my 2-12s and a 5'' wide port takes up every bit of that 31''. How else can you do 4-15s and a port in a 20'' wide cut? You would have subs that don't fire into your cab?

I was thinking of having 2 subs on each side of the bed facing one another in a V shape baffle box sort of with the ports from the back like supergumbys it was I believe.

Something like that I dont see how It wouldnt fit?

Get what I am saying?

i think this is the 4th or 5th avalanche 4 15's project i've seen since my build log. i started something //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Not going in an avalanche its going in a f150

anyway yes your vids made me want to do 4 15's on 5k watts ha

pm me your box specs wonder if that box would fit in my truck

What your saying might fit but it also might sound weird. I would just go with 80inches 4th order design and be done with it.

Not sure why it would sound weird considering that the guy above supergumby did something like that and if u havent seen them the vids are impressing

I vote, get off your lazy fata*s and stop asking the internet for help on every phase of your life. Be a big boy, and make your own decision's.
