Ported Freq Resp?..delay??

I tried a 2 cube slotported @32hz today,tons more output than a sealed but sounded really odd? didnt seem to play anything above about 60-70hz? and played everything kinda s.l.o.w.?

have i just experienced why sq guys steer well clear of ported enclosures? is it impossible to make a sq ported enclosure? it was desighed by an ok desighner and built ok by me! tons of output it just all sounded ????????????

if a box is tuned to 32hz,what freq give or take a few would/should it play up to? 70-80-100-??,it dropped off badly up in the higher freqs?

The enclosure and the sub will have a natural rolloff depending on their specs.

I remember my old infinity perfects, they could be run with no low pass at all.
