Ive heard packing peanuts..buy like 3 cubic feat of packing peanuts (its labeled) and fill it and find out..I really dont see how youd get small numbers like 3.42 cubes with that but thats the only method ive heard of.

if any of teh box is wood you better make sure that shit is SEALED before you go filling it with water.

yeah i mean even though its fiberglasses doesent mean it cant potentialy leak through or fallow a strand that dident get enough reson on it and start to make the wood expand... do u rilly need to know to an edzact point how big it is?? you could always use a bag and put it in there before u pore the watter... the bag is to thin to make any diffrence that could possably matter.

Use sand or packing peanuts...

i would be very hesitant with using water too....if your just going for the fiberglass look i suggest you just make it out of wood and round the edges off, apply lightweight bondo, sand PERFECTLY smooth and paint.

Packing peanuts will work well and be easiest to clean up

quickly make up a 12" x 12" x 12" cardboard box and do the peanut packing method. quick, easy, easy cleanup, no worry about ruining anything.... and then the cardboard box is easy for estimating how much you have since it is 12 x 12 x12....

i have a 12 x 12 x 12 box i keep for just this purpose, its filled with peanuts along with a 50 gallon trash bag.
