Ported Enclosure Question

I have two 12"subs i want to do a ported box for.I was wondering if a single common slot port is best ,or is a seperate chamber for each better? Is slot port better than round? Is it all personal preference?thanks

I have this same question, however I belive that the port is just to allow air to flow in and out of so it shouldnt matter if there are two or one port.
