ported enclosure for SQ?

I want the loudness of a ported enclosure, but I still want the SQ of a sealed.

I'll be pusing an RL-p and i listen to a lot of hard rock.

is there a certain tuning freq that can conserve SQ?

With a ported box in sound quality you will want to tune low. The reason for this is to take any peaks out of the frequency range. Another reason would be to extend the range it can play.

Typical SQ tuning is 28-32hz. www.soundsplinter.com has the box specs you are looking for.

put a lot of power behind it. my setup sounds awesome bass wise. super tight and plays a super wide range.

so shoudl I go in between those 2? or is the 1.5 at 28hz a good slope?

None of those fall into the realm of an SQ alignment. I played around on WinISD for a bit and couldn't get a response curve that I would condsider using out of it honestly. I know that WinISD doesn't totally represent what will happen in the car but it will give you an idea what you are working with. It shouldn't have any problem getting loud though.
