I have someone who is going to design a box for me but they want to know what tuning i want to use and what volume i want, could someone help me out with what I should tell him please?

I'd do 4cuft internally @ 32-34hz

cubic feet = length x width x height

hence cubic, as in ft^3.

So for example, a 12 inch x 12 inch x 12 inch box would be 1 cubic foot.
