Port Wars Box

There's a competition near me that's going to have port wars where the winner gets some cash so I was gonna give it a shot. I think the requirements are that you need at least a 4x4" port. I was gonna do a 4" aero, external, in a tiny box (.5 to 1 cube?), with my Shocker Super Extreme with 2500 watts.

Any input?

Sounds like your on the right track. I would add something for the woofer to load off of in side the enclosure to help build a little more pressure.

I saw one video with a port wars box, it was probably 15x15x5", woofer mounted inverted, with a 2 in external port. The vid said it did 184 on the TL in the title, but the meter used in the vid wasn't TL.

So I figure I'll mimick that. My plans are 15x15x8 external, .7 cubes, woofer inverted, external 4 in aero 17 in long tuned to 48 hz.

Any other input.

Yup, you got the right idea.

Super small box, tiny port, lots o power. Might have to play around with the length to get the best ratio.

I know many tricks to port wars and super port wars. Pm me for more info. My friend has taken the state record two years in a row. My daughter can do 171 + with a 10" and 250 watts, my son has done 174 + and I've seen 182 + at finals. Is this a Usaci event or just a local show?
