Port Tuning

I am gonna be building a ported box and i want to know how i figure out the port tuning. I don't want that program where i plug in dimensions and it does my port tuning because i want to have my design and port placement be different then other boxes. Can anyone help me on how to tune my box with the dimensions and everything.
