Port too long for box

I have a question about a slot port with a 90 degree bend. Say for example the port length is too long for the size of the box using one 90 degree bend. I've seen boxes with multiple bends that look like a maze, is there a certain way to calculate these bends? Or maybe a program that does it?

You could try to make the port longer, but there might be other reasons with the box won't extend lower, or even the sub. You'd have to reverse...
