port screws

so i just got 4 of these ports for my box.

cut them to size and what not and now i need to mount them. what would be the best choice for screws to hold these guys in place? also, should i seal these up somehow? like silicone or something between the MDF and the tube itself?

They should seal fine by themselves, but I'd put some rope caulking around the lip before screwing them in.

Any screws should work really, as long as they hold them in.

1 5/8" coarse threaded dry wall screws? think those will be alright?

Yes those drywall screws will be fine.

Shit, I'd even do threaded inserts with machine screws and washers.

just used some 1 5/8" #6 wood screws. worked out fine. thanks guys.
