im building a box for 2- 12s. ive never done a single port in the middle for a single chamber box before. sub on each side of the port, kinda like a transmission line enclosure, with no separation for chambers. does this affect spl, being that the port is just simply in the middle and doesnt have a separator board in the middle? it will be tuned between 37 to 40 Hz, havent decided yet. and it will be for a daily setup, but i still want it to be loud. should i just break down and put the port to one side of the box? ive done that type before and i know theyll work just fine. its going into a sealed off trunk, facing forward. thanks in advance.

Personally I'd likely go slot ported with the low tuned side of the box and aero on the high tuned side. 6th orders are just big by design

You could try to make the port longer, but there might be other reasons with the box won't extend lower, or even the sub. You'd have to reverse...
