Well I'm trying to design a box for my 15'' Fi Q.
I'm thinking somewhere around 3-3.5ft^3 tuned to 28Hz...
So I open up WinISD and type in 3.5ft^3, 28Hz, change it to slot port... Now I don't know the exact dimensions of what I need the box to be, so just to test things I type in 20''x5'' for the port area. It tells me I need nearly 90 inches of port length...
So just for fun I switch it to a round port. I type in a single 5'' diameter port, it says I need about 15.5'' of port length
Can that be right? Why does a round port require SO much less volume? The slot port volume is 9,000in^3 but the round port volume is only ~243.5in^3
Am I just using winISD wrong, is my math way off, or are round ports just way easier than slot ports?
