I have a fiberglass box, and before I install the port im going to calculate the length, then cut out the box and fiberglass in the port... anyways...

I have the sub facing forward in a quad cab... where is the ideal position for the port, forward as well?

Making the sub and the port on the same face, facing the same direction, is the ideal situation for the least cancelation...

So yes, forward would be best.

try to keep it on the same surface as the sub. you want as much air coupling as possible in order to get the full effect. or optimum performance as most would say.lol
