port placement!!

i have a 00 grand cherokee and i am building a spl box.i currently have a box that i made with the slot ports firing towards the rear with the subs.i have read and seen alot of boxes w/subs up ports back is this better?and should i switch to aero ports instead of slots??

I have a 00 Cherokee and have done TONS of boxes for it in all different configurations.

Your not going to have much of a difference port/subs up port/subs back or subs up port back. If you can afford to put deading on the back tail gate I would do subs up port up, if not do both up. I say this because without deading anything back is going to make WAY to much turbulance and make tons of noise.
