I'm building a new box for my L5s tomorrow and I need to know how much port area and port length would be best for them? I plan to tune them to about 45 hz so hopefuly they peak about 50 hz for comp, then im gonna make a plug to cut the tuning down to 35 hz or so for daily.

Just really need to know how much port length and how much port area would be best?

I dont understand why you would tune that high for those 15's but whatever works man.
Only tunin 45 hz for comps so they will peak around 50 hz. Then I'm gonna make a plug to make the port width smaller to cut it down to around 35 hz.

Here is what i have so far on my box design:

42" Wide X 32" Tall X 14" Deep

For Comp have the port width 5 inches which would be 152.5 square inches of port area. This would be tuned to 45 hz.

Then for daily I would make the port width 3.5" which would be 106.75 square inches of port area. This would make the tuning around 38 hz.

My box would be about 7.4 - 7.9 cubes

That sound pretty good you think?

If so I'm gonna try to cut the wood tomorrow.
