Alright so right now I am making a fiberglass mold of the spare tire are of my car (mitsubishi eclips 96 rs) and I'm trying to maximize the amount of space needed for my sub (hoping to get around 2-2.5cu) without loosing a lot of cargo space. So the idea is to have the sub firing at an upward angle from the left corner of the trunk and to have the port firing from the right corner of trunk. Most of the enclosure will be fiberglass with the framework being MDF that is fiberglassed to the box. I am trying to go for a mix between SQ and SPL so I want to do a low frequency port that will still net me more volume than a sealed design. What would be a good frequency to hit? I've heard 32HZ is a good starting point. I listen to all types of music so I want to make an all around sub box.
The other thing Is, I don't want any port noise so I drew up a quick Paint sketch of a baffle Idea. Tell me what you think. If this thread starts to get interesting I'll switch to sketchup. I also took a few pics of the build but the batteries in my camera died. Bummer.
Ok here's the image.

Right now I'm just looking for a way to design the port. things will get more technical as we progress.
