Port facing position?

Ok so i have a 7.0cuft box for a 18'' Bl and my first idea was to have the sub facing up and the port facing forward.....then i thought that the port would be facing straight for the seat that is in front of it (silverado ext cab). I am almost sure that i can not have the sub and port on the same side of the box because of dimensions.....so would it be better for the sub to face forward towards the seat or the port?? or the sub facing the back wall....and the port facing up???THANKS in Advance

ok so the port should be firing towards the wall/window of the ext cab? or towards the seat?

They're going to be facing in completely opposite directions, is that correct?

If so...I find it very hard to believe that you couldn't put them on the same side of the enclosure. It should be 6 of one, half-dozen of the other if that's the case.

If I'm misunderstanding and you're saying, one firing "up" and another "forward," then I would likely put the driver facing forward with the port up, if for no other reason than space constraints.

no the reason i can put it on the front is because the front board that is cut to length for the port is not wide enough for me to cut a 16.75in hole in....the other sides are big enough tho so what i am trying to say is that the sub is either going to be firing forward (towards the seat) and the port facing up (towards the celing) or the sub will be firing up ( towards the celing) and the port will be facing either front (towards the seat) or back (towards the back wall of the truck)(where the window is) I hope this clears this up....
