If I wanted to divide my rectangular port right down the center for some extra bracing, will my port length have to stay the same or does it change since I technically have 2 seperate ports now???//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

It wouldn't change just because it's 2 separate ports. Port area is port area. The only reason it changes a little is because of the port area that board displaces. It'll just be tuned a little lower than before if the port length stays the same, but most likely it's not a big enough change to make a big difference (depending on your total port area to begin with).

It's not bad to divide the ports (especially if it's dividing the two chambers), but if it's a slot port down the center of the box, it's already got 2 braces (the port sides) within a few inches anyways. Doesn't really matter either way to be honest.
