port distance

haha well my last little question wasnt answered/ replyed to after it got off the main page lol

what i was asking was

ive heard of the rule that you have to have your port one diameter away from any wall

but what about the distance between ports.. does that need to be at least one port diameter or does it matter

talking about round ports ofcource

thanks

again

This is speaking about the rear of the port, not so much the side.

The red dimension is what matters, not the blue. You should also keep the butts of the ports away from each other as well as the wall. It's ok for them to be side by side but face to face. Having the port directly against the side of the wall will not do much but maybe add a small amount of port length (like maybe less than an inch). Having them too close to the back will cause a choke point though.
