Port design question for the pros

I am building a box at the moment for two Memphis M3 15's. I previously built a box, designed by a memphis rep and he wanted me to build the box at 6 cubic feet, with a square port 36 sq. inches, 12" long (6" x 6" x 12"). The box was tuned around 31 Hz. It sounded great, and with the two 15's powered by my Memphis Mojo I achieved 149.7db.

My question is this........with the new box that I am building, is it better to go with a stot style port than the square port? I would like it tuned nice and low again....somewhere in the 30 Hz range, but would I benefit by going with a larger slot port? What do you think?

for two fifteens i would recommend a port area of around 50" slot and sqaure theres really no difference.except for the area. they tune the same...
