Port Clearance?

Will my amp rack in this design obstruct the port? The first picture shows the "standoff's" for the cover(second pic), which is nothing more than a basic frame with a breathable mesh fabric over it. Thanks for any advice!

in the pic it looks like a 3'' port, and the edge of the amp cover is just over 3'' away. even if it is a 4'' port its not going to make enough of a difference that will be noticeable.

but as sic said it may be worth looking into in putting the sub on the driver side of the truck.

even at 2" it would just create a loading effect anyway.. similar to doing the loading wall inside an enclosure just on the outside. not bad in either case //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

How so, you are eliminating the hard edge which could cause whistling if the air velocity in the port is high enough.
could is the key word.. if the port is the proper size it won't whistle //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif keep the vent mach under 30ms and usually you cant ever hear it , and at 20ms there is 0 port noise...
