Port Clearance

I got another question... a friend of mine built a box and the distance between the end of the port(round pvc) and the box wall is near 2.5inches and he asked me if that is enough clearance... is it?

it will work but prolly not the best, mine is about that 2

needs to be a port diameter away from all adjacent walls.
