Well, since my other thread didnt do so well and got junked up by me bumping it, I thought id make a new one.

So my buddy needs a box for 3 RE SR 15's. Its going in a extended S10. I got the volume right but the port is the problem. I was gonna port forward but i think id get port noise. So now im thinking port to side. I attached a Torres image with my dimensions. The absolute max area I have is 60x39x17. What do yall think?

yea good luck getting answers... But yes subs firing up port firing to side work the best in ext cabs. but i dont think he has the space for 3. i would build it for 2 15s and keep the other sub as a spare. Trust me 2 15s in the right box vs 3 15s in the wrong box, the 2 will be louder and sound better then 3

He has plenty of volume for those 3 15's.

how much space.? usually a good ported 15 enclosure is around 3-3.5 cubes net after displacments
The box is sitting at 9.6 before sub displacement. Subs displace .45 and have a ideal box size of 3 cubes each. So i would be just bigger then that.

my 15" take a 5 cube box ported net. . so make sure what that sub requires.
These want 3 cubes at 35 hertz each.

it might work but getting subs up port side will be tough

I dont wanna build this box for him and it sound like ****.
i understand, no one wants to build a bad box. thats why is said with this space i would just do 2 15s. You still have to take into account sub displacements, port displacements, some bracing and also still have enough space on the inside of the enclosure and the outside for the port to breath(distance from port openings to any wall wether its the a wall in the box or wall on side of the truck itself.

He has 3 15's already and amp for them. He has plenty of airspace for 3 15's, so why would he run 2? I just need someone to help me with his box.

Well I guess im gonna bite the bullet and build this. Wish some more builders who are more educated then me would chime in.

EDIT What about 3 chambers
