alright, i know the way in the pic above is the way to measure a port. as if it has an "imagineary" midline...

what i am trying to figure out, is how to measure the same port, but with 45 degree angles in each bend as pictured below... any ideas???

bevel/round the inside edges of the port and keep the 45 degree pieces small and the difference will be negligible.
is there a way to measure it that you know of?

is it correct to make the distance from the 45degree angle face to the port wall, the same distance as the width of the actual port, like in the photo below???

yes, this is getting you close enough to the constant width mentioned earlier, a full radius is technically better but I doubt you'd hear the difference (10ths of a db)
