Port Area?

The inches of port area versus cubic feet rule is obviously wrong, as it doesn't even take into account the port type/shape. Round/aero ports can be considerably smaller than their square port counterparts, while still retaining the same flow/port-noise characteristics. it's the 3" port tubing that partsexpress.com sells. my port is 24" long and has 2 90 degree bends in it as well and still no port noise. both ends are flared though.
