Port Area included in overall box size??

THe box I have is 4.3 gross cuft. If I do the port inside the box. Will I still have 4.3 cuft? Or will the port area deduct from my usable cuft?

its actually volume not area, its referred to as port displacement and yes it will, you will need to kno the port width, height, and legnth to find the volume of the port and also add in the displacement of the port wall so it would be width plus .75" if thats 3/4" mdf

Thats what I was thinking. It has been awhile since I have had to build a ported box and I guess you could say I had a "brain fart."
