ok im going to be starting a build here soon but wondering from anyone with bassrace expeirance what kinda port area for 4 18s would you recomend, going in a walled off explorer.

My recommendation would be 10-12 square inches of port per cubic foot of volume.

Make sure you brace the hell out of it also make sure you give enough airspace for 45s.

yeah im having hella time getting the design down i keep chaning things im thinkin about glassing in sections concrete tubes in the corners for a nice rounded corner, as for bracing its ganna be 3 layers thick on all sides then 2x4s and theaded rod, thats the plan but things might change depending on cash flow

Mines 51 wide 40 tall and 23 deep with 15 inch 45 in one corner and a 12 inch one in the other. Still have to triple it up and add the threaded rod.
