so to get the size dimensions for the second port is it

interior height by (total port length - port #1 length - port width - 1.5)

or

interior height by (total port length - port #1 length - (port width - 1.5))

ex. 1. 26.6-12.5-4-1.5=8.6

ex. 2. 26.6-12.5-(4-1.5)=11.6

when I over think things I make everything 100x more complicated so if someone could clarify this for me I would appreciate it!

You could try to make the port longer, but there might be other reasons with the box won't extend lower, or even the sub. You'd have to reverse...
