ok, i have a main wire from my front batt to my back batts. the fuse at the front batt was blown. so i put anohter on. it instantly blew. tried again, same thing. any idea why?

also, the aq amp is reading protect, when its getting 12.8v. any idea?

maybe a power/ground switched/touching, etc.

Could also be that you are running the subs at an impedance load that is too low for the amplifier to handle...

If the battery fuse is blowing 'as soon as its inserted into the fuse holder' (amplifier off) , the problem could be anywhere in the power distribution line.........Check ALL wiring for shorts.

anyone have an idea on why its in protect? it has good voltage. tested it at the amp at 12.8

ok the aq amp is INSTANTLY in protect. my kicker amp is on for like a few seconds before going into protect. any idea on what it could be? they are wired to two c&d batteries right besided them.

if the batt fuse is blowing it is because something on that line is pulling to much power whether a short or the amp or w.e its connected to.. do a free line around the side of the car to see if it does the same thing

I had an amp go instantly to protect because the inline fuse to the batt was popped but it when it broke it still had a tiny bit connected still and sent enough power to the amp to turn it on but not enough to let it power up and play just the yellow light

i disconnected the main wire from front to back. so i was testing the amps on battery alone. so the wire with the fuse that kept blowing is not in the equation

ok so i unwired EVERYTHING and one by one connected my amps. both worked fine. so there was a bad part of my wiring.

heres the delema now.

the kicker amp for my front door speakers works fine, but at volume 40 with gain all the way at 0 (so im getting some output but not much, it turns off, and if i turn it down it turns back on.

the aq amp turns on fine, but no output on the subs. subs are wired correctly, i triple checked

this is on a diferent headunit, that i used to have in my expedition, so there should be bass (i changed nothing from the expy)
