I have a 5-channel amp (40x4 + 100x1 @ 4ohm) and a pair of dual 4ohm voice coil 12’s.

Right now my highs overpower my bass. I want to run my highs off of my high- powered deck and use the amp for my bass.

Since the amp is 2ohm stable when bridged, can I wire all five channels to the (2) 12’s?

I think it is possible (although very strange). My only concern is how to make sure the amp is getting a mono signal.

p.s. the only reason I am asking is because buying a new amp is not an option.

what equipment are u running? dont wire 5 channels to 2 subs, not a good thing to do.

cant u just set the gains so u get more bass than mids/highs? u can change the settings on ur HU as well

(5 1/4 mids and tweets up front & 6x9s on rear deck)

I had gains for highs all the way down and bass all the way up. It was ok but I want more bass and I felt like I was wasting half of the amp.
