You can get Comp VR's (12") for around 69.00 on Ebay which will last plenty long. You can even go with an L7 12" for 150.00 on Ebay. L7's pound. For 150.00 you won't find a harder hitting sub.

hehe...care to tell that to anyone on these boards recommending something they've never heard? How can you buy any of these subs, like RE, Adire, eD, whatever, if you're never heard one?

It's called...word of mouth from respected sources, and the theory to back it up. If I look at the T/S params from a "supersub", it might tell me that's an excellent driver on paper, but if I also hear from someone that owns one that it's an excellent driver as well, then I start to notice a trend...that trend eventually becomes a fact when enough evidence is behind it to support it.

Makes a lot of sense to me.

L7 is overrated thrash, actually kicker subs are over rated trash( in my opinion)

i keep sayin this over and over, Try out soundstream subs. whateva go with an L7. Everybody has them. They are even more over played that JL. To prove my point, i travled to manilla, phillipines, and the almighty sqaure kicker subs where all over the place.

KICKER, a square sub, a square enclosure, a square house, everything should be square.

hey buddy... i would go with one or two diamond CM3's or the TM3's if you can afford it... but when you really wanna thump and blow the f#*k out of almost any system...

with 2 diamond 15" TDX's you could blow the pants off of 2 L7's and 2 W7's in the same car... they hit hard dude

I would say look around for some used subs on these boards. Two Elemental Designs KX's or even K's would fit your situation very well.

I agree. We have discussed opening up a shop within the next couple of years, but the costs, risks, etc. go up dramatically when you have a shop versus just an internet store. That would force our prices to go up and we do not like having high prices... So, maybe in the future... Who knows?
