polyfill

on ported enclosures i usually glue a single layer of pollyfill on the back wall to absorb any mechanical noise that the sub may make.

you can also use it if you made the enclosure a bit too small, it will make the sub think is in a bigger enclosure since pollyfill slows down the sound wave and also for fine tuning your enclosure some.

 
no it does not help ported boxes..
seems like half the people i talk to/read about(old threads) say it works for ported(if its not big alredy) and the other half says it doesnt //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif
