does pollyfill help ported boxes? i was under the impression that it didnt, but i reached in a port of a kicker logo box to see how long it was and i felt polly fill in the box. does kicker just not know what they are doing or does it help?

it can help, ther eis a website that had a huge write up about the gains they seen from it and such. has to be roughly the right amount thoguh, too much can be bad same as too litte.

on ported enclosures i usually glue a single layer of pollyfill on the back wall to absorb any mechanical noise that the sub may make.

you can also use it if you made the enclosure a bit too small, it will make the sub think is in a bigger enclosure since pollyfill slows down the sound wave and also for fine tuning your enclosure some.

the larger the enclosure the less effect pollyfill will have in tricking the sub into thinking its in a larger box
