Polyfill.....will it change tuning

I currently have a pair of XXX 12's in a box that has become a permanent part of my trunk. Each sub has around 2.5cuft of air space and the port is tuned to about 32hz.

I know that 2.5 is not an ideal airspace for a XXX and with the box not going anywhere. The only thing I can think of doing to try and gain a little more space is polyfill. My question is if I put polyfill in my box (1.5 X the subs enclosure, correct?) my subs will think that they're in a bigger box, so does this mean that the tuning of my box will also change? And how much bigger will the 2.5cuft seem to the sub?

Thanks for your help.

don't polyfill a ported enclosure, doesn't work
Yes it will you can like attach some chicken wire or some shit to make the polyfill not fly out the port... be creative, like req says, think outside the box. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eyebrow.gif.fe2c18d8720fe8c7eaed347b21ea05a5.gif
