I mean..... WTF. Just not fair.

I feel you on that man. A ton of people drink more often than me, but when I felt the need to drink every weekend I started feeling like an alcoholic. I have cut WAYYYYYYYY back this summer and plan to keep it that way. I just don't look at alcohol the same anymore really.
Its a good idea to cut back before it becomes a problem. My wife has been calling me an alcoholic for years, wether its just a six pack or even one beer "You alcoholic" is what I hear.

LOL, that dude made a complete U turn! He HAD to be dedicated to get that weight off, I mean, he was not a house in the before pic, but it looks like he cut ALOT of fat off his body!

I grew up in a Boxing Club so I worked out almost every day untill

I had kids..right now I'm 6'2" and 200lbs

I would like to go back up to about 220lbs again but just don't

have the spare time to spend in the gym...

almost 40 and still have a 6 pack so I'm still doing ok

You won't see me in an A&F magazine. You won't see me on TV as a spokesman for any appearance products.

You won't see me in any list of the most gorgeous people.

I am of average appearance, 5'11", and have about 25-30 pounds of fat that I don't need. I still get pimples. I don't tan because I don't like the feeling of my skin burning. I don't use hair gel anymore. I don't wear bracelets, or necklaces, or earings, or rings.

Am I satisfied with my body/image? Of course I am. Why shouldn't I be? Why shouldn't anyone be satisfied with their image? The opinions of every other person on the planet do not matter, and you are the way you are. Be happy with that. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
While I would like to drop a few pounds, what DevilDriver said is still true!

I am 5'10" and weight 145lbs. My muscles are so defined that it looks like i am super strong. I have the 6 pack just chilling in most all stances w/o flexing....... I never ever work out, drink lots of beer, and smoke a lot of pot..... I LOVE my body for the amount of work i put into it.

where's "Im workin on it" in the poll????

I am emerging from a fatass (5'11" and 235ish), and relativley lazy 33y.o. guy with 2 kids stage in my life.. Wife and I decided it was time to kick our own *****, and straighten up. that one guy's thread was a BIG help in the motivation a few months back.... something like "I lost my butt and gut in 6 months" Now, I watch what I eat 95% of the time, and look forward to my time in the gym 5 days a week. Not losing a lot of weight because I am burning off fat and gaining muscle, but I am getting a lot of coments when people notice the diffrence. It feels good when someone notices you've been workin!! Now I weight 215, and feel great with tons of energy //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif Only regret is that I dont have before pictures of me with shirt off...

Ok, literally "x2" except subtract an inch from the height.

lulz.

6' 1" Ectomorph. 179lbs, bf%? No idea, but skinny enough for a very weak 6-pack. Very pleased with where I am, but always striving for better.

My workout story:

Spring semester of sophomore year in college, I start working out (~160lbs). End of semester I'm 185lbs, no gain in fat (skinny my whole life). The meal plan in the dorms is all-you-can-eat there and that helped a lot, along with low-stress, high sleep.

Lived in a house for the next 1 year and 2 months (still in house now), working two jobs, and due to cost/time cannot cook and consume as much food as when I had the dorm's meal plan. Also less sleep. Lost 6 lbs quickly, and have stayed at 179 since. Workout continued, but brought no change. Had some extra money, so I tried a few supplements, but got nowhere.

In 3 weeks, I move back to the dorms, back to the awesome meal plan, no jobs (=more sleep), am staring whole new workout program (thanks to my recent purchase of "Starting Strength" by Mark Rippetoe). Goal of 200 lbs by christmas, and 220 lbs by summer. Think I can make it?

Excellent book. His 5x5 program gave me my biggest gains I have ever had in 12 weeks. And this was after working out off and on for 3 years. 220lbs is pushing it IMO by the end of summer.

I agree, 40 lbs in a year is absurd, but I'm gonna strive for it. I really have no idea how fast I can gain. I think my intial 25 lb explosion was from n00b gains. Now that I have some muscle, I see it being much harder to gain more. What kind of gains did you have in those 12 weeks?
