peices of sh!t. heres what happend...

3 months ago i bought 4 polk DX 12's which are 1 step down from the MOMOs.

i only hit a 137, they told me that it would be high 140s easy....bastards...

i was like ok, ill live with this and get another amp. by the time i got money around to get another 1200.1, i was triding down the road listnin to some ying yang twins and i see a bunch of smoke in my car, so i pull over and theres smoke commin from the ports in my box... so i drive 2 hours to get to the shop that i bought then from (i had moved since i got the subs) and they told me it was my AMPS (jbl bp1200.1) that did it

what a dumbass.... what the hell does that mean? and im sure its bad, and im sure its wrong.

so anyway, they wont replace my subs, so im screwd out of the 600 i paid for the 4 subs, so it pissed me off cause i go to school and work a part time job to try to save up for my shit, and when it breaks i dont thinki should be the one loosing the money i earned on the shit cause the subs blew (probably just cause they were in a huge ported box and that stuff just happens ya know) so anyway.... now im back to square one... i have a 3.5ft3 ported box for a single 12 in my closet, and a box for 2 12s, ported, so now i guess ill start over from the beginning again.... dammit.... ah well......

subs cannot tell the difference between a clean signal and distorted signal. the amp has 35% distortion? 35% distortion of what? distortion at full power? at 1 watt? i don't think the guy knows what he's talking about. go back there and ask them to prove that the amp killed your sub. tell them you want REAL facts, and not just "oh because i heard it from someone". at rated power, the amp will do i think 1% of THD distortion. that isn't going to harm any sub.

then again, you have a ported box, using an amp without a subsonic filter, but shhh!! don't tell the installer
