I am just throwing in my opnion of 2 different sets of Polk Momo products.

Polk Momo MMC5250

Polk Momo MMC690

For starters if your looking for great performing Component speakers in the $300 retail price range these are exceptionally good. I have been running them for about 3 months now. Haven't had any problems with them at all.

They are being powered by a Kenwood KAC-X541 sending them 65 watts continually. For daily performance they are extremley good. The midbass has great response and the tweeters don't pierce the ears. The components have a smooth rich sound. For a mid-level audio enthusiast these are exceptionally great speakers. Comparing these to other speakers in the same price range such as the MB Quart Platinum Series, JL Audio XR's (I believe), Boston Acoustics S Series, etc. I would say these shine above them. The only ones I say compare to them are the MB Quarts. Now don't forget this is all a personal opinion. I have worked with all the above stated speakers and have enjoyed the Polks the most. The setup they are in is the stock location in the doors of a 1999 Pontiac Bonneville.

For the 6 x 9 Polks I would say these are the best sounding 6 x 9's I have ever used. They are a tri-axil and they sound amazing. They as well are running off of the same Kenwood amp recieving 65watts as well. These are located in the stock posistion in the rear of the car. Although these are a little more pricey then your usual 6 x 9's ($200) they are worth every penny. I havne't worked with many other 6 x 9's only because I am so impressed with the response I have gotten from these I don't want to change them. I have been running them for 8 months. The bass response is incredable. If your not planning on running any subs I would recomend these for great bass response. The highs are very clear and smooth as well. They also perform great at high levels.

I would have to say the best thing about Polk is the 3 year warranty you get with all of there products. Also they have great customer service.

For rating the two products based on Price range

Polk Momo MMC5250 I give a 8 out of 10 because of the great performance and sound I have been able to get out of them.

Polk Momo MMC690 I give a 10 out of 10 based on they are some of the best 6 x 9's I have ever heard.
