polk MM 10s ported, is this right?

when i do two 4" ports, it says length needs to be 23.5, not sure how that works... my box wont be that long...
That's why I prefer using slots for lower tuning and smaller boxes...you can make them as long as you need to pretty easily, and it won't cost a much or more than all of the rest of the box.

well problem is i cant fit a slot ported box or i would...

at 24 inches wide, ill have 3 peices of wood so 3.25 for wood, plus the port is 2 inches wide thats 5.25. 24-5.25=18.75 which means not enough room to mount 2 10s...

 
You could also have the subs mounted as high(or low) as you can and run a port horizontally across either the top or bottom...it'd be a littler harder to build, but really easy if you have a router with a flush bit.
