Yes ! They are very nice, If you can and if your looking for the coax's I would try to get the momo's. I use those and they are beautiful. The db series though are very good speakers. You can't go wrong with the polks.

I ordered the mmc6500 momo and they will be here today. I heard them at a local audio shop and choose them over the diamond d661a and a few others. They were by far the best ones there to my ear.

I just got back from circuit city. The db6500 comps were $189, which is a GREAT price. Cant find a better one. But I just looked and realized taht SATX posted the model above the db6500's and they are $10 less, so I might look into those.

I got a chance to listen to the db650's and db6500's at CC, and I am IMPRESSED. Very warm and crystal clear (when amped) but the mid-bass lacked, but then again they were in a sound board. Anyways, the 6500's DEF out performed the 650's (the coaxial verison). Bet the MMC6500's have some BEASTLY midbass considering the size of those bad boys.

Anyways, I'm looking at the MMC6500's for $180, which is a GREAT price. Its that, or the Crystal SSCS6's.

Any suggestions?

well the big brown truck just dropped mine off. I will probley get them installed this weekend. I will let you no what I think after I get them installed. By the way I got the mmc6500.

Where did you buy hem from, If you don't mind my asking?

Yes, That is what I will probably pick up.

The x-overs look MASSIVE!!! So do the mids, you should take some pics:yumyum:

Are they really that big?

I bought a set of Type R Alpines because I didn't need 90 RMS speakers (would have been a waste, my amp = 75 RMS at best, and could be overrated). After going to Tweeter, Best Buy, Circuit City, etc.... I came to the conclusion that the Polk stuff was the best sounding Amped speaker. I only listened to the MMC stuff though (MOMO). All other speakers had different sound to them, but the MMC's were by far the best of them all, you won't be dissapointed if you get the MMC.

Your amping these, right?

If not, I'd say stick to the dB stuff.

I'm Amping them, when I get enough money to buy a 150wrms x2 @ 4ohm amp.

But for now I am using them off the deck. I'm getting the momo's because they are actually CHEAPER than the db6500's.

What would you recommend as a cheap but good amp to power these comps?

Kicker06.... look into the Power Acoustik LT series over at milliionbuy.com, you can score the LT620/2 (2x150w rms @ 4 ohms) for about $90-95 shipped.
