Polk Amps?

I recall it being a controversy at one point, but does anyone have any solid numbers on the PA 880.1? Considering putting a pair of CVR's on either one or two. While I'm at it, anyone have an opinion on the Kenwood 9105? Seems cheap for what it is, which always instills a bit of doubt

I know how people feel about kicker around here. This is a budget system and as I said before, the price is right. I simply want to know what kind of power those two amps can really put out. If I could get the 880 to run a pair of CVR's at one ohm, I could save myself a chunk of change.

Don't have any numbers but the polk amps are fairly decent quality. We install them in the boats we build at work and I've only seen one come back ever for warranty and thats in a marine environment with users who most likely don't have the slightest clue how to treat a piece of audio equipment . I wouldn't doubt they do rated power.

I emailed the Polk customer service this afternoon and promptly received a reply.

"All the SPECS that are listed for the PA880.1 amplifier are correct.

4ohm: 300x1

2ohm: 500x1

1ohm: 800x1

RMS"
