Depends on where you are, as some agencies have switched over to strictly laser, but the most used is K-band.

all the cops are getting new cars up here. switching from caprices to impalas. and all the impalas are using laser.

i found that out. phazer 2 was worthless..

A great value is the detection range for the money.

Whichever you get, mount it as low on the windshield as you can since the license plate is the preferred focus target. I've got mine resting flat on the dash held in place by the windshield suction cups and bracket.

we have dodge chargers. corvettes, luina's..

allways k band.. my rader still get's everything anyways...

depends on jurisdictions...there was a link awhile ago on a RD forum to show what area uses what kind of detection, but I'm too lazy to look. Oh, and buy a V1...saved me on the TPK and 95 yesterday about 8x.

Here seems to be Ka and K, depending on what kind of cop. I've seen 1 pop, and 1 laser, thank god not on me...

No problem. I used to run an older Cobra, but when it got ganked and I was in search for a new one, I did some research and settled on the Pro73 which was right in my price range of $125ish. I learned from my research that Cobra detectors are merely ok, and there was much better available for the same money.
