lol, i didn't make this up, i was in the interrigation room down at my local police department for over 2 hours earlier today. When i first got in there he asked "do you know why you're here son"? He had candy from my friend that he had interrigated earlier sitting in the middle of the room. After being asked that I responded with "Because i helped take that candy.". A few seconds after this he said ok and read me my miranda rights and had me sign the paper... Would i be able to take that to court saying that i wasn't read my miranda rights before the interrigation started, but after the first question???

this is my hometowns online newspaper. Notice that it's just a letter from someone about what happened. I can't find a way to get to an older paper, but i have one in person that has the theft of the concession stand on the front page... I'll post new pics after the po pos release the info to them.

They need to tell you those rights before they do any "real" questioning of you. Whether what they asked falls into that category would be up to the judge, I'd think it might be and you would have a case. That question seems to be trying to envoke a confession, but who knows...
